Dr. Kim Yoo

Dr. Kim Yoo grew up in a small town 20 minutes south of Kansas City and moved to KC after graduating high school. She received her associate degree from Johnson County Community College, attended UMKC, completing her degree and earning her doctorate at Cleveland University.  She holds many certificates in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine including Five Element Acupuncture, TCM, Meridian Therapy, Facial Rejuvenation and Scalp Acupuncture, Fertility and Hormonal Issues, Weight Control and more.  She has completed study, research and extensive practice in conditions (pain, numbness, tingle and burning sensation) associated with the nervous system including Bell’s Palsy, peripheral neuropathy, trigeminal neuralgia and stroke associated neuropathy.  She has been studying TCM for nearly 22 years and practicing for 17.   Dr. Kim has extensive training in women's hormonal issues including menopause, peri-menopause and menstrual irregularities/imbalance.  

 

 


Key Dibben

Keanna "Key" Dibben is a 2004 graduate of Heritage College and holds an Associate Degree in Occupational Studies in Massage Therapy.  Specializing in Deep Tissue Massage, Key has a natural talent for finding and eliminating  problem areas, and excels in her ability to achieve optimal relaxation, pain relief and fast results.  As a Reiki practitioner she often combines energy work with her treatments in order to treat the whole person, body, mind and spirit.  In her eleven years of practice she has created a loyal following of healthier and happier clients.  The combination of TCM and massage therapy treatments can often alleviate even the most resistant of pathologies.  At The Acupuncture Center this combined treatment protocol is utilized often and is invaluable in the elimination of many painful conditions. 
 Key is a native of Kansas City and loves camping, hiking and 4-wheeling in the beautiful areas around our city.  She is also quite an accomplished artist in abstract, mixed media on canvas and furniture, some of which has been displayed at "First Fridays" in the crossroads district.  She is the mother of one and the grandmother of one. 

 

 

A.O. Ichiba

A.O. Ichiba is a sifu "master" in Karate-Do, Tai Chi Chuan, and medical Qi Gong. Sifu Ichiba is a published author, martial arts actor and consultant (Kick Me most recent film), and educator/instructor. He holds seminars around the midwest sharing his lifes work. The Acupuncture Center is very proud and honored to have Sifu Ichiba as a part of our staff/family.
 

 

Ruthie Turner
In our Overland Park office Ruthi Turner is our office manager and physician assistant.  She is the beautiful, happy face you see when you come in and also when you leave.  Married to Harvie Turner, mother of four (one of which is Dr. Kim Yoo), grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 9 she is an excellent manager and patient care advocate. 

 

 

 

Lisa Kenegy

Lisa is our office assistant, manager and physician assistant on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  She began her studies in Acupuncture in 2014 and is excited to one day be a practitioner in this amazing field.  She is married to Jeremi and they have two adorable sons.
